Pi Day: Dessert Art That's Worth a Slice

Pi Day: Dessert Art That's Worth a Slice

You may have noticed that I’m a total sucker for a silly made up holiday. If the calendar gives me even the tiniest excuse to celebrate something and gives me an easy blog post subject, I’m in. That’s exactly why I happily doubled up this week with both MAR10 Day and Pi Day. Two easy opportunities to talk about things I love? I’m not letting that pass me by.

Now Pi Day is technically about math and the famous number 3.14159265… but let’s be honest, nobody wants to talk about math - especially on a weekend. So I decided to go with the lowest hanging fruit possible. Dessert wall art. Sweet treats, fruity favorites, and a few cute snack characters that feel right at home in the kitchen.

Cute Food With Faces and Puns

I have a soft spot for food art that leans all the way into being playful. You know the kind. Little smiling snacks, silly expressions, and puns that are just cheesy enough to make you laugh. Pieces like Snack Time Sweethearts and Pie Love Party are exactly that kind of fun. They’re colorful, cheerful, and just a little bit goofy in the best way. When you walk into a room and see a happy slice of pie staring back at you, it’s hard not to smile. It’s the visual version of a dad joke, and honestly kitchens deserve a little humor.

  • Great for kitchens, breakfast nooks, and coffee bars
  • Perfect for family homes where a little silliness is welcome
  • Fun in kids’ play kitchens or casual dining areas
  • Works well as a small gallery wall of snack themed prints

Sweet Treat Art

Not every dessert themed piece needs a face or a pun. Sometimes the treat itself is the star of the show. Popsicles, sprinkles, and bright candy colors instantly bring a playful energy to a space. Prints like the popsicle artwork or Sweetheart Sprinkle Squad feel cheerful, nostalgic, and full of personality without being over the top. They remind me of summer snacks, ice cream trucks, and that simple joy of grabbing something sweet. Even a single piece like this can add a burst of color that wakes up a kitchen wall.

  • Perfect for adding color to a kitchen or dining area
  • Works well in playful modern kitchens with bright accents
  • Great for summer themed decor or seasonal swaps
  • Fun for candy bars, coffee stations, or snack corners

Fruit Art (Yes, It Totally Counts as Dessert)

Now before anyone argues with me, fruit absolutely counts as dessert. Strawberries and cream, strawberry shortcake, fruit tarts… I could keep going. Strawberry themed pieces like Strawberry Sparkle and Strawberries and Cream have that fresh, classic feel that works in almost any kitchen. They still feel sweet and playful, but lean a little more timeless than candy or character style food art. The bright reds and soft greens add a fresh pop of color that feels cheerful without being overly sugary.

  • Perfect for classic kitchens and cottage style spaces
  • Works beautifully in farmhouse or vintage inspired decor
  • Adds a fresh pop of color to neutral kitchens
  • Great for spring and summer seasonal decorating

The Sweetest Way to Celebrate Pi Day

At the end of the day, Pi Day might technically be about math… but I think we can all agree dessert is the more fun interpretation. Whether it’s a cheerful pie character, a colorful popsicle print, or a bright strawberry piece, dessert inspired art adds a little sweetness to your walls without any baking required. Happy Pi Day friends!
