Wall Art Trend Report - Fall 2026

Trends come and go. Some we’ve loved forever, some are picking up speed, and some are just starting to show up in all the right places.

Here’s what we’re seeing right now and what we’d happily put on our walls.

STILL GOING STRONG

Mediterranean Mood

Trend momentum: 85

We’ve been into this one for a while, so we’re very happy the rest of the world is catching up. Sun-soaked coastlines, terracotta, old stone, olive trees, and those perfectly imperfect European streets have always had a home at Wall Art Co. Warm, relaxed, a little vacation-y. Basically, if golden hour were wall art.

Moody Japandi & Wabi-Sabi

Trend momentum: 92

From warm and sunlit, we go a little moodier. Japandi is getting darker, richer, and way more interesting, with charcoal, indigo, cedar, and imperfect textures replacing all that washed-out beige. It’s calm without being boring and minimal without feeling empty. We’re very into the dramatic sibling energy here.

EMERGING

Cloud Watching

Trend momentum: 55

After all those deep tones, things are looking up. Cloudy skies, hazy horizons, and soft blue-gray washes are bringing a lighter kind of calm to walls. Dreamy without getting too sweet, dramatic without causing a scene. Very good art for staring at while pretending you’re not avoiding your to-do list.

Figure Studies

Trend momentum: 55

And now for something a little looser. Sketchy portraits, unfinished faces, visible brushstrokes, and raw edges are all part of the appeal here. This look feels personal, and imperfect, which honestly feels refreshing right now. A little artsy, a little moody, and definitely not trying too hard.

Arts & Crafts Revival

Trend momentum: 72

Then things start getting a little more detailed. Botanicals, birds, winding foliage, and decorative pattern are making their way back onto walls in rich greens, browns, and warm neutrals. It has that handmade, collected look people love, with a little vintage charm and a little country-house energy. Basically, plain walls should be nervous.

Old-School Portraits

Trend momentum: 35

If figure studies feels personal, old-school portraits feels personal with a backstory. Formal faces, Regency silhouettes, and old-world portrait art are popping up in modern rooms as the one piece that makes people stop and ask questions. One dramatic frame, one mysterious stranger, and suddenly the whole room has a plot.

Trend Report Over. Now Make It Yours.

Trends are fun to watch, but your walls don’t have to follow any of them. Go moody, stay sunny, hang a mysterious stranger next to a Mediterranean coastline, or your favorite picture of Grandma. Pick what you love, mix things up, and make your walls feel like you.

Art, not rules.
